On setting 1 these are no tot noisy compared to a stand resistance wire element or ceramic element tower fan. Even on 1 the air is projected further than other fans.

All fans with a thermostat turn on and off automatically!

You forgot to mention the animal is slightly better on pet hair. I had a DC25 Multifloor and I have used a DC25 Animal and it sucked up pet hair a bit better. The DC50 Animal is amazing. I took it to my nana's house and she has a Vax Mach Air and it was fairly clean in that house but my Dyson DC50 Animal was full it sucked up so much dirt

I have this one and my complain is that it's noisy even it's set to 1. Also, if hot mode, the oscillate only works if the temperature is greater than 72 degrees. I'm sending mine as this unit is being recalled.

He's making Apple cleaner & you end up paying for more down the road. Motor came out from RC car with replacement battery that cost close to $100.00. You have to dig down in your pocket for $300.00 with just 1 battery. Then buy extra wet sheet.

I get asked that question quite often. It's exciting to see what our engineers will come up with next because they are always working on new products! We'll just have to stay tuned :)

I wonder if Dyson will ever come out with an air purifier. It seems other vacuum companies like Hoover and Oreck have air purifiers.

i have a Numatic George witch is a multifunction cleaner that comes with a mop tool quite similar so i can vacuum and wash with my George but i cant choose which because i go to throw George away to get the dc56 but his face pulls me back and i think my george has more suction but im not so sure

While you and I could debate the merits of Root Cyclone Technology, Radial Root Cyclone Technology and Two-Tiered Radial Cyclone technology we have to consider the audience and the medium. Our challenge is to show the consumer, in an easy to understand fashion, how Dyson's technology will work to keep their home cleaner. We have to keep them entertained with compelling "demos" all the while being able to roll with the challenges of Live TV.

Crystal, I need to lay some things out. I feel that you take Dyson technology for granted without knowing what's on the underneath. Such as Dyson Cyclone technology. Recap: Dust enters in the top of the cyclonic system, then 1000s of G-forces and supersonic wind speeds spiral the dust and then the dirt is 'spat' out the bottom of the Cyclone and then thrown into the bin. Keep in mind AND mention this for future Dyson vacuum demonstrations. Good demonstration however! Kind Regards, Tim. (UK)

Your DC07 is a powerhouse but it sounds like DC50 stole your heart ;) I think once you vacuum using Dyson's patented "Ball Technology" you get spoiled... it is so much easier!

i used my Dyson dc07 and realized it was boring just pushing back and forward i do like watching the dirt fly around in the bin! a few days later went to a store when i was on holiday i tried the dc50 and i loved it i couldn't stop vacuuming the store with it,it was so easy to move so lite so powerful!

Hi Luke! I'm glad you like your DC50 Animal. It is certainly an improvement over your original DC07 and a lot easier to maneuver.

I have a dyson dc50 animal got it today. I vacuumed this morning with a dc07 and then with the dc50 and I filled the dyson dc50 animal's canister
